About RuggedBears 🌲🐻

RuggedBears – that’s basically me, Raphaël Poupart.
A nature guy who spends more time among trees, garden beds, and fishing rods than in the living room.
With RuggedBears, I’ve created a place to gather all my passions: forestry, fishing, gardening, outdoor adventures – and all the little things that make life outside so special.
Here you’ll find my stories, tips, books, and even a bit of merch, so you can take a piece of the RuggedBears spirit home with you. Step by step, this is growing into a full adventure – online, at a small market stand next to my home, and one day in my very own store.
In short: RuggedBears is my way of sharing nature knowledge, craftsmanship, and a love for adventure with you – with heart, humor, and a touch of sawdust. 🪓🔥
The RuggedBears Story 🌲🐻
The idea for RuggedBears had been with me for a long time. I’ve always been fascinated by everything outdoors – survival, forestry, and life in the wild. For years, I carried the thought of sharing that knowledge and passion through stories, tips, and real experiences. But sometimes, it takes the right moment to finally begin.
That moment came on the day my son was born. On that very day, I founded RuggedBears – as a symbol of a fresh start, a project that would grow just as my son grows.
RuggedBears began as a blog, a digital campfire where I could share what the forest, the water, and the wilderness have to offer. But the vision reaches further: from these stories, I’ll build a small stand next to my home, selling fruits and vegetables along with the first RuggedBears merchandise. Over time, that stand will grow into a full outdoor store – a place for nature lovers, adventurers, and anyone who feels at home with the smell of wood and earth.
And who knows – maybe one day my son will carry RuggedBears forward. That’s still many years away, but the thought of RuggedBears becoming a story that grows across generations makes this journey even more meaningful to me.
Today, RuggedBears is still small – a blog, a shop, a stand. But in the coming years, it will grow into a brand that connects nature, adventure, and community.
